Story Idea:

Priest of race at desperate war performs a ritual an enters into a trance/compact. This creates a creature, I imagine an imp, or a house elf lookalike like that Dobby, full of wonder at the world that is have never seen before (it may have come from an alternate phase).

The trance only lasts a few minutes, but this creature moves so fast that everything takes place in the span of the few minutes. The compact provides that the creature must kill the enemies of that race, which it does in those few minutes, which to it are like several days (from the creature's point of view the whole world doesn't move at all as it is so fast).

If part of a larger story, the sequence takes place very quickly. If a stand alone story, it is from the creature's p.o.v.

Fancy is won by flowers and fair words,
and only kept well with a point of view.
